CNN is reporting that Louisville PD has cancelled all off-day and vacation requests until further notice.

Welp... If true, we know what that means.

As of yesterday, there are approximately 40 blocks of downtown Louisville that have been shut down to restrict vehicular traffic, and they have an area of concentrated law enforcement presence around Jefferson Square Park. Concrete barricades have been put in place around the area being restricted, and businesses have been boarding up since Sunday.

Of course, I'm hoping that whatever is announced, the response doesn't get too crazy, but stay safe out there, Louisville folks.

Have to wonder if they are shutting things up so tight downtown, if that doesn't make any possible protesters more likely to push out into more residential areas.

The grand jury decision in the Breonna Taylor case is expected today at 1:30pm eastern.

The Courier-Journal originally published the decision time at 1:30pm. Now most news sources are saying that the grand jury will present its report to Jefferson County Circuit Judge Annie O’Connell at 1:15pm.

Also lots of other police/national guard units on standby state wide.   The next few days will be challenging for Louisville as a whole.

72 hour curfew starts tonight in Louisville.

Have to think this will have an effect on Louisville high school football games this weekend. I know a few teams are playing opponents from out of the county, so you could see games moved, but several are games between two Louisville/JCPS teams. Curious how that is handled.

The 12-person grand jury decision requires a 2/3 majority vote for a true bill of indictment in order to move forward with charges against anyone.
