There are 9 years where the AP did not publicly release the official ballot of finalists: '03, '04, '06, '08, '09, '10, '11, '12, '13. Not taking those years into account, and including the finalists ballot from this year...

Lexington Catholic - 3 nominees, 0 winners

Breathitt County - 6 nominees, 0 winners

Male - 10 nominees, 3 winners

McCracken County - 1 nominees, 0 winners

Covington Catholic - 8 nominees, 0 winners

Williamsburg - 1 nominees, 0 winners

Boyle County - 7 nominees, 2 winners

Mayfield - 2 nominees, 0 winners

I voted for Stinson because nobody else had. ‍♂️

I saw Stinson and Allen both play this year and Stinson isn't that far behind in ability. Both are elite. I voted for Stinson because I'm glad my Tigers won't have to face him anymore. I think he's been starting QB at Mayfield for the last decade.

Reese Smith gets my vote but I expect Michael Mayer to win.

Flip-flop that for me.

I will say, though, after the 5A state game I've heard more talk about Michael deserving Mr. Football from folks outside of NKY than I would have guessed in a million years.

Broken record post:

It’s a shame we are one day away from February and a winner hasn’t been declared yet. Completely shameful.

Still waiting....

I don't think the AP is all that concerned about what expectations people have for the announcement date.

I was Hayes all year long until Maher dominated the playoffs and FD.

1. Mayer

2. Hayes

3. Allen

IMHO.
