  1. 1. Who Wins?

One of the best games in the Class 3A regular season gets a second run this weekn when Bardstown travels to Elizabethtown. Elizabethtown won the first game, 20-14 in overtime, on October 25. Neither team was very successful on offense as both defenses were terrific. Both teams come in off of routs against Thomas Nelson and Larue County, respectively. Who gets this victory?

This is too close to call.

I love Bardstown's talent and the chip on their shoulder they will have.

I also know you don't pick against Coach Brown until he reaches the Semi-Finals.

Bardstown has not made it to 3rd round of playoffs since 2007. They lost 28-20 at Ft. Campbell that year.

In recent talks this week with Elizabethtown fans and parents, this game scares many Elizabethtown supporters. A majority of these fans felt fortunate to come away with a win in the first game and feel that it very easily could have gone the other way.

I will go with Bardstown in this rematch.

Bardtown 32

Elizabethtown 28

Teams have agreed in advance, being proactive, and with consent of coaches, AD's, Principals, etc., that there will not be any post-game handshake line in this one. Too much emotion and history in this one. Good decision, publicized here so no one gets their noses out of joint later if they see it.
