No rain forecast all week. Pulaski doesn't practice on the field so it should be in decent shape by Friday night.

Or suspiciously muddy still.

It was amazing how muddy it was on Log Mountain back in the day, even when it hadn't rained all week.

Who cares about field conditions. Adapt and play football. Everyone acts like conditions of fields is something new. As soon as schools get turf they think they should always play on turf. Is everyone new to playing in the playoffs in November?

Exactly. Several Southwestern fans were talking about how bad the field conditions were going to be at Pulaski well in advance of the game last night. I can't help but wonder if that didn't get in the player's heads a little bit and contributed to the Warriors slow start. Just lace 'em up and play. Covington Catholic is the better team by far. It wouldn't matter where they play.

It won’t grow back if it isn’t watered. Where did you guys learn about exterior irrigation techniques?

Maroon quarterback Wiley Cain has some impressive senior season stats:

308 completions on 467 attempts for 66% completion percentage.

33 touchdowns against only 8 interceptions, while throwing for 3,738 yards.

Those are impressive stats.

I was wondering whether or not there would be any Bell County references in this thread. :lol2:

How good is PC?

This is their 5th semifinal appearance in 6 years. Over those six years they have played in 4 state championship games, winning it all in 2014.

They have been as consistently good as all but a very few teams in the state over the last 6 years.

KHSAA should make them play at an alternative site IMO.

Field should be deemed to dangerous to play!

 You do know this is football, don't you?

Football meant to be played In the mud. Unless there are other issues like holes then it’s probably safer than turf.

However, olddoc has a point that it can impact the game if the lines aren’t visible. Can they restripe at half?

Dangerous may not have been the right choice of words... however the KHSAA has a week to make a change.

Semi final home playoff games are arbitrarily awarded as it is based on year not performance... so move the game!

Can you elaborate on this?

Cov Cath travelled last year to Bowling Green for a Semi Final. Seems to me, it should be there year to host.

Regardless, CCH will thump them by 21+.

Didn't CovCath play 4th round game away last year. Why are they playing away this year? Should be home field based on record. Be better and get home field. Pretty ridiculous.
