Recommended Posts

McGinness 137 yards 3 tds.

6'4 201 pound Jacobs 11/14 154 yards 3 tds.

Mayer 6 catches 78 yards 2 tds.

Jacob looks nowhere near that size on video. Off to a great start.

That is what they listed him on the roster.

When McGinness was a freshman I thought he was the best back in the entire program.

I remember Beechwood freshmen beating Covington Catholic freshmen that year and holding my breath every time McGinness touched the ball. He was a threat to score every time he got the ball.

Casey McGinness had another excellent performance, he impressed me with his patience. He was denied the end zone on a couple of times in the first half due to the speed and pursuit of Henry Clay speedsters Langston Jackson and Ramond Jackson. He works hard and like all CovCath players appears to be extremely well coached. The match up nightmare tonight was Michael Mayer as the Blue Devils had absolutely no answer for his size and speed.

Does that mean he set the school records for rushing and overall TD’s?

Henry Clay was unimpressive all around. They had a few fast players turned joggers late in the first half...

Another thing...How can a 6A Lexington school have so few fans at a game in Lexington? Show out for your kids people.

The lack of support has been a trend for several years now. It’s sad.

Must be some big Friday night X-box tournaments going on these days. ☹️

On the other thing, there are so many choices/demands/options for our time it doesn't surprise me at all.

It doesn’t apply to Lexington but in some small towns, other things like car-shows are scheduled on home-game Friday nights. This used to never happen.

I’m pretty sure Casey had one TD and not three.....

The bottom line is everyone is 'fighting' for our time.
