BGP QOTD: What bands did you listen to most in high school?

Recommended Posts

Seems to me that the vast majority of folks tend to identify "their music" as the music that they listened to roundabout their days in high school.

What were the 5 or 10 bands you would say you listened to the most during your high school years?

I had a lot of classic rock bands and the like that I jammed on a good bit around high school - Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors - but for the sake of making this interesting, I'll strike those and go with bands that were actively putting out music while I was in high school. Points if you can guess what years I was in high school based on my list.

Barenaked Ladies

Beastie Boys

Ben Folds Five

Pearl Jam

Radiohead

Smashing Pumpkins

Soundgarden

Third Eye Blind

Weezer

Whiskeytown

Your list is similar to mine so I would guess 1992-1995.
