??? Boone did play decent on defense ??? They had given up 38 pts, right after half. How is this good, from everything I was hearing about this game was Dixie could have scored 100 if they wanted. Boone isn't good, bottom line, so come on GURU, let's be real. I went to the SK/RYLE game, Dixie is the best 6A team right now, but things could change. JMO. A buddy of mine was saying Boone looked scared the whole game, and didn't even attempt to tackle, Dixie's running backs, what in the world is going on with Boone County? Again just what I'm hearing, sorry Guru.

Just coach's second year. Now if this is the case 4 years from now, then sure, we can say there's a problem. Thompson left BCs program a disaster, there's going to be some healing pains. Just like with Ryle's.

That was being nice!! The holes opened up by Dixies line were huge. Dixie's D with 76 and 58 gave Boone fits all night. At times Dixie's line down blocked d lineman 5 yards off the ball.

Yes, as a Boone fan, our kids were blown off the ball a lot of the time. I did not see a decent defense in that game at all. I do not think they were "scared" but there was no fire. They played flat the whole game. They failed to complete tackles and allowed Dixie RBs to get huge chunks of yardage after contact. It was pretty ugly.

 

Dixie is a fine team.

Yes Dixie is. You got to have a line O and D. The game is won up front. Dixie has some big strong kids. A few D 1 commits. And it showed. Good luck to Boone. Dixie just looked bigger stronger taller.

I can pick on Dixie too guys. Dixie is good not great. They are soft at some positions. They lack killer instinct. They did struggle to move the ball at times and while Dixie handled most of Boone's defenders a couple of them gave Dixie fits.

 

In short, Dixie should have scored a lot more than 38 points against Boone but Dixie is inconsistent.

 

And for anyone playing Dixie, pressure the QB if you want to win but the guys you use have to be studs with speed and quickness.

Jealousy is a bad thing Guru. I see you said Dixie is soft at some positions, name a position Boone is better then Dixie at. I'm waiting. BTW some people I talked to after the game said NCC would have beat Boone too. Most if not everyone on here knows your son plays for Boone, that said, the reality is Boone isn't good, and has nothing coming up through the system. I was told Boone's freshman lost to Cooper 38-0 and Dixie's freshman 60-0, again I'm not hating on Boone it's just the reality. I will agree with one thing you said about Dixie, they are inconsistent. The ONLY great team apparently in NKY might be Highlands. One last thing, with everyone I talked to about this game not one person said that ANY Boone player gave Dixie any type of " fits." Come on Guru you're better then this.
