Williamsburg was much faster than Newport and it showed on NUMEROUS plays tonight. Newport QB, Paul Price, did a great job coaxing the Williamsburg D-line to jump offsides at least 8 or 9 times, with 3 or 4 coming on crucial 3rd and 4 plays to keep Newport drives alive.

Williamsburg did a very nice job stuffing the Newport run game. #7 Austin Huskey, for Williamsburg was a beast tonight on defense, played on the line and as a LB....kid flatout got it done. :ylsuper:

Newport's pass "D" was less than stellar, and the Wildcat receivers didn't do QB Paul Price any justice dropping catch-able balls. However, the Williamsburg "D" was damn good all night, except for the last scoring drive by the Wildcats. I was not impressed AT ALL with the Newport line as big as a couple of those kids are.

Newport went for two pt. conversion every time, obviously they don't have a kicker. Whereas, the poor Williamsburg kicker, was wide right & left, hit the upright, and of all things.....SHORT on one.

Very entertaining game, and the Williamsburg crowd was more than respectable, considering the 2 1/2 hr. drive north.

IMO, Newport has a couple of really nice players, but they will not beat NewCath.

The Wildcats have some nice players and look improved compared to the previous few seasons. The defense needs to improve against passing. Williamsburg receivers made catches all over the field.

I would expect to hear that from a NewCath fan :thumb:

You obviously don't know LawnBoy to think he would say that because he is a NCC fan. He is one of those fans who speaks the truth whether it's good, bad or in between, so don't think he said that because he is NCC fan.
