And lets face it, just because college kids (including myself while I was in college) are know for having some raunchy, drunken fun, does not mean it should be acceptable, or dealt with when they get caught. Hazing is perhaps the stupidest concept ever created in the name of fun. And as a coach/leader/school employee, you cannot knowingly allow the stuff that's described in the report to go on in your presence. Obviously, coaches can't be every where at all times. But to let this stuff go on in your presence while in a school based event, is just not acceptable.

If I could I would. I don't get invited to drunken, raunchey parties anymore. I'd just be the creepy old guy.

You have to make your own breaks. And I hang out with peeps from 18 to 80 so sometimes I am the "creepy old guy" and sometimes I am in the middle.

Take that for whatever it may be worth. Not excusing. Just throwing a rumor out there.

I'm glad you had sources to back up my suspicions.

So are the cheerleaders getting punished? My understanding is at least some of them are on scholarships and they were at an official team function. I would find it very hard to believe there was no underage drinking. Heck I didn't turn 21 until spring of my Junior year so only incoming seniors were there? As representatives of the university, I would think they would also be held accountable especially if there was hazing, underage drinking or actions unbecoming at a cheer camp.

If this is indeed true, I feel bad for the child. She will never be accepted into the community her mother desperately wanted her in.

Nobody really believes there was no underage drinking or drug use, right?

I'd bet the farm that underage drinking was happening. Not as sure about drug use. I wouldn't be surprised either way if drugs were involved.

Generally speaking my default position is drinking, cigs, 420, and maybe something a little harder is standard operating procedure.
