Commonwealth Attorney Tom Wine held a press conference during which he played an audiotape of a statement given by Mr. Walker in which he admits that the police repeatedly knocked on the door before they entered. Wine said Walker, despite contrary reports, did not call 911. According to an article in the Courier Journal, Wine said "I believe that additional investigation is necessary" and that "there is a tremendous amount of false information that has been disseminated." Wine said Walker's case could be presented to a grand jury a second time depending on the results of investigations by the FBI and the Kentucky Attorney General's Office.

So it wasn't a "No Knock" entry, according to Walker's statement?

Correct. Evidently, the warrant allowed for a no-knock but the officers knocked anyway.

So the police said who they were, but the attempted murder charges on the boyfriend were dropped? That doesn’t jive.

I believe the boyfriend said he heard knocking...........don't know that he said he heard the police identify themselves. If he heard one you'd think heard the other. I'm interested to see how this plays out. Tom Wine is as honest and honorable a public servant you can get.

The no-knock warrant policy has been suspended in Louisville.

    Seems reasonable.

I’m a law abiding citizen. No criminal history, no reason to hide anything.

I keep a loaded 9mm beside my bed. You kick in my door in the middle of the night and I’m emptying my clip in your direction without hesitation.
