UK Kent game blacked out in Kentucky?

Is it true that if you live in Kentucky you can not purchase the game Pay Per View? I was told by a local cable company that only if you live out of state, you may watch it live...... otherwise tape delayed? Any thoughts?

I found it odd. I was told that by a lady at my local cable company this morning. I will call back until I talk to one of the higher ups.

    per the Lexington Herald:

The Kentucky-Kent State game can be seen live within the state only on a pay-per-view basis. Cost is $24.95 in advance and $29.95 on game day, according to UKathletics.com. Fans should contact their cable or satellite providers for more information.

WKYT-27 will broadcast the game at 11:30 p.m.

Not saying this is right or wrong, but this was on the website this morning..

So you can pay $25 to watch the game live, or you can wait a few hours and see it for free? EASY CHOICE

Hell, you can buy a ticket for the game on their website for $30. Probably could get one for $20 right before game time...

I would not spend the pay per view money on this game. Besides, as said earlier, WKYT will have it on tape delay at 11:30pm Sat..

When the EKU game was on TV, they announced that the game would be PPV. Let's keep our fingers crossed on the WKYT delay.
