The Success of Rich Brooks

Page 2 of Man, I remember a couple years ago about how everyone wanted Rich Brooks out and all the bad media about him. NOW, IMHO he deserves a contract extensio... 20 comments | 701 Views | Go to page 1 →

One game does not make a carrer, unless your name is Flute... Glad to see the Wildcats get the W. Lots of football to be played. Off to a great start. All of this momentum can be crashed down to zero with a 33 - 3 loss at Arkansas.... Lets hope the Cats get another W. Lets just take it one game at a time. Too much speculation is what kills reality....

I've been on the Brooks bandwagon from day one...I also think Joker Phillips is a very underrated and underappreciated offensive coordinator.

True. But which would you rather have, ... the attitude of old Kentucky football 'we will find a way to lose the big games' and we can't beat a ranked team to a team that in the past 5 games, has beat Clemson (who is still ranked ahead of UK) in the bowl game last year and beat a top 10 ranked team for the first time in 30 years. This doesn't give any UK fan the right to be optimistic?

If you can't base a career on one win, ... you most certainly can't base it on one loss and IF they lost to Arkansas at Arkansas, I would not be shooting darts at Coach Brooks. But I know that many of my fellow UK fans will be doing just that.

Let's look at from a different perspective ..... is the program in better shape now than when he took over? My answer is a resounding YES!

AND do it amidst strife and turmoil and losing records. Imagine how he'll be able to recruit with a signature win like this one...!
