Notre Dame's Record this Year?

Page 2 of ND is 4-8 or worse because of the though schedule and the poor play...but give them 2 years then they'll be back on top again.... 33 comments | 1201 Views | Go to page 1 →

This year is going to be a rough year, but I fully expect to see the team playing alot better as the year goes on...

It will be year 5 before it's completely Weis' team...he's only had two full recruiting years and by most ratings he's done pretty good, which means ND should have a lot of talented freshmen and sophomores...and a few juniors that he probably snagged when he first took over...give him another year or two with a roster that is completely his and then we'll have a better idea of what he's gonna do, IMO. ND is still in a transition, IMO...and this year could be a rough one. I still think he'll get the Irish back in the picture, just not as fast as some were expecting.

The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed?

I'll say 5-7 but I could definitely see it being worse.
Michigan Lost to APP St. So they are beatable, I'm not saying they will beat them but they are beatable. I agree with the list above except, I think ND beats Mich St, BC and shocks Penn St this weekend and finishes 8-4.

I would say 5-7. It didn't look very good this past weekend. With Clausen starting it might get a little interesting.

Even with Weis at the helm I would say 6-6, but that being said we haven't seen much of the Claussen kid yet. It will be interesting to see a #1 overall recruit perform with the kind of scrutiny ND QB's go through.

Pride will get them one win, luck will get them one and some lame call at the end of a game will get them a third. That's all they will get.

Notebook: Hurting, humbled Irish hardly in league of their own

Team A has 40 wins since 2002. Three out of those five years it has been ranked in the top 25. There have been two 10-win seasons and four bowls in that span.

Team A is coached by a former national college coach of the year; a former NFL assistant with Super Bowl experience who calls his own plays and is breaking in a new starting quarterback.

Team B has 42 wins since 2002. Three of those five years, it has landed in the top 25. There have been two 10-win seasons and three bowls. It also is coached by a former coach of the year; an NFL assistant with Super Bowl experience who calls his own plays and is breaking in a new starting quarterback.

One of those teams is Maryland. The other is Notre Dame.

The point is that in the here-and-now of college football, the two programs are comparable in terms of recent achievements. In that span Notre Dame has morphed into Maryland. Mimicked a Terrapin. Turned turtle. Mirrored a mid-level ACC program.
