Georgetown College Spring Football Game Tonght at 7.

From what I've heard from people close to the program, the Tigers have had a really good spring. They've got a lot of good players returning from last year's team, which won the conference and made the playoffs. I'm going to try to get out to Toyota Stadium tonight to watch their spring game. Anybody else going?

Defense, wind and rain were dominant tonight. Black squad defeated the orange squad 13-12. Highlights were Sandoval's long TD reception, and a punt out of the end zone that went over the returner's head and rolled all the way into the other end zone for a touchback.

If the Tigers can replace a couple of D-linemen and develop a lockdown cover corner they may be able to improve upon what was a very nice 2010 season.

I want to know more about the punt.

Are you saying it traveled from end zone to end zone? 100 yards?

It traveled about 70 yards, wind aided. Still a good punt.

Isn't Paul Warford going to be that player? Talked to several of their players and they said his footwork is just unbelieveable.

I sure hope so. Too many big pass plays given up last season.

Punter was a yard or two deep in the end zone. Punt carried to about the 35 (65-70 yards in the air) and rolled the rest of the way into the end zone. And yes, it was definitely wind-aided.

Did Georgetown obtain the D-3 status or stay the same? Affecting any athletic scholarships for 2011-2012?
