V.C.U. shows once again how overrated the Big East was this season.

^ Couldn't disagree more with you....and given the track record....I feel dead on.

Ohio U. last year and VCU this year ... the Hoyas haven't had much postseason shine lately.

They don't seem to be coached to play late in the season.

The only way some of you would say that the Big East is not overrated is if all 11 teams won the title.

According to the seeds...the Big bad Big East should have 5 teams left at the end of Sunday night...headed into the Sweet 16....lets see how many they have...if not five, then they were overrated by the committee (who ranks the teams). No conference should have more than half of their teams in the NCAA. Period.

I said in another thread that from top to bottom the Big East is very good but they lack a top end team

G'town on the other hand is a product of the Northeast media hype machine.

They lost their PG late in the year to an injury. They were clearly a different team without him, and surprisingly to some people, they didn't return to top form in his first game back.

And, apparently, VCU ain't that bad. They handled Purdue relatively easy as well.
