We said all last year if the Cats lost it would be due to FT shooting. Looks like we were just a year late on that.

But really it was just Jones' FT shooting. He was the only on that took more than 2 FTs.

Most on here want to trash the Big East because UK has done poorly against them in the tournament. Um WHAT?!?!????

The Big East took shots from every major sports TV/radio show in the country. But yea, it's just those crazy UK fans

On here there is certainly a different Big East bias because of UL and UK getting bounced every season by such an overrated conference. Still stings a little to lose to such an inferior product doesn't it...

There is absolutely a bias because of UL but saying it's because UK has lost to them in the tournament is a major stretch. Losing always stings, but we had a great year. Very happy with the team and program

There is a huge bias toward Duke because of the 92 game. I don't think it's a stretch at all to say there's a bias toward the Big East because of the previous tournament losses.

I would put that way down the list for most fans on reasons why there is a bias against the Big East. Heck, I bet your typical lame "Big East stinks" guy doesn't even realize UK has lost to the Big East that many times in the tournament.

Way down the list? How many reasons do you have on your list?

Over the last five seasons, the Big East has had five Final Four entries ... no other conference has more than three.

And when the team that finished ninth in the conference makes it to the national championship game ... that's a pretty good indicator of the league's strength.

I don't have a list. By far at the top would be the banter back and forth with Louisville fans about the Big East. It's also similar to SEC football in that you hear so much in the media about how great they are that it makes you want to root against the conference. I don't like the Big East but it is easily the best conference. There is no denying how disappointing the tournament was for them though, regardless of how UCONN does.

Really the Big East is an excellent conference and I have said from top to bottom it's the best. The argument that they have had moe teams in the final four isn't a great one. When your conference has a gazillion teams they have a better chance to place teams in the final four. Think about it, this year one in every 6 teams in the tournament were from the Big East.

Which is simply one more reason the Big East is the best conference. How many other leagues get two-thirds of their membership in the NCAA tournament?

Look I agree that it's the best conference but it's a product of numbers. Roll the SEC in with the ACC and it's better than the Big East.

BTW, UK played four Big East teams this year and beat three

See, I can be petty too

The SEC and ACC have 24 teams between them, compared to the Big East's 16 teams. Yet the Big East has as many Final Four teams over the last five seasons as the ACC and SEC combined.
