Nearly everyone, including myself knows that things have been ugly for the Blue Demons since making the switch to the Big East. What is it going to take for them to even come close to being competitive?

It seems like they had actually been playing somewhat better, even though it hadn't really resulted in many wins. But the wheels appear to have completely come off today.

DePaul's best player Cleveland Melvin is out for the season with a wrist/hand injury which would explain the score maybe a little. They have a really nice freshman class, and another solid group on the way in next year that includes Barry Larkin's son Shane who is a very good PG. If Purnell can keep it together for another year or two they should move towards the middle of the Big East pack...

I hope DePaul can one day rise again. I still remember the days of Mark Aguirre, Dallas Comegys and Rod Strickland. Plenty of talent in Chicago, they really need an influx of that talent.

I agree, Chicago has plenty of basketball talent.
