    SEC Tourney info-outside of games

We are staying close to Dome and I have never stayed in that area. What are the best bars, places to get burgers, steaks, etc.? Any UK events going on, like pep rallys, parties, etc.?

There is a pep rally but not sure about details. You might try ukathletics.com to see if there is any details.

I am not into the bar scene, but the food court next to the dome is a good place to get food. Lots of variety. We stayed at the Holiday Inn and they have a bar. Maybe some of the younger set can give better info...

If anyone is interested in grabbing a drink sent me a pm with your cell number and we'll meet up and go out one night. I'm obnoxious on here, but I'm not so bad to run around with.

Like Goldie said the food court by CNN has some variety and decent prices. Several nicer restaurants in the area (McCormick & Schmidts--seafood and Ruth's Chris--great steaks) right there as well. Typically nightlife is not great in the area, and is much better in the Mid-Town and Buckhead areas (not far by cab); but there are several bars in the area which may be better with the tourney in town? The Glenn Hotel (couple blocks) has an interesting street level bar & a cool open air rooftop bar (weather permitting) and is a true "boutique hotel". The aquarium and World of Coke are interesting local visits during non-gametimes.
