    Insert Dave Beezold joke here.

I realize that horse has been beaten plenty, but when miss out on a kid this close to you, it is very hard to go there over and over.

I have been a huge critic of Bezold, but I do give him credit for going to West Liberty and playing this year. Pretty much a no win situation.

In the end, West Liberty's system was the absolute best fit for Corey. The national player of the year should be announced sometime this week and he is one of 8 finalists (and I assume the favorite).

For those interested-Wednesday's game will be on live at ncaa.com. The semi's are on CBS College Sports and the finals are on CBS in HD on Saturday at 1pm.

I would love to see a Bellarmine-West Liberty final.

They may be picking up a very familiar name for BGP readers for the 2011-12 season, as well. Stay tuned.
