Back to the original topic, sort of. Which hurts UL more: next year's team losing Knowles or this year's team losing all five starters from the previous year? Might sound ridiculous, but I'm thinking losing Knowles is akin to losing their heart.

UC has been a very pleasant surprise. For a team that used to be my least favorite of them all, I've enjoyed it the few times I've seen them play this year. Curious to see if they can contain Kemba.

I believe that Knowles is going to be greatly missed, but I feel pretty optimistic about next season. Between some of the players coming back and the recruiting class coming in, I believe that they will be good. Regardless, Knowles has undoubtedly been the team leader and is going to be a tough leadership role to fill. Someone will do it though.

I think UL will be good, but I don't think Rick coaches freshmen quite as well as some other coaches. Knowles became a player I never imagined him being while he was in high school. I'm thinking they'll have a harder time adjusting without him than they did this year losing all they did from the previous season.

Actually, I was surprised and disappointed by that. Also in his post game interview in the hallway, he wouldn't even acknowledge Kenneth Faried when asked a direct question about him.

If a junior Siva steps up to lead in Preston's absence, Louisville has a chance to be very good again next year. I, for one, am excited to see a late November starting lineup of Siva, Smith, Kuric, Buckles and Jennings. We'll see where it goes from there.

I'm thinking Smith is the most likely candidate to fill Knowles' shoes than Siva. I guess we shall see.

I used to think that the phrase "One and Done" referred to college freshmen that stayed one year and declared for the NBA draft. I guess now it refers to UL in the NCAA tournament.

Or number of questions UK players have to answer on a final exam.

You know all those folks who say things like, "I'm a UK fan, but I cheer for Louisville when they're not playing UK."

Bet none of them were cheering for Louisville on Thursday, the lousy hypocrites.
