    Julius Randale

This is the kid that impressed me the most at the Beachball Classic. He is in the class of 2013. UK is looking at him....he can play.

GT have you seen him? What are your thoughts? Anyone else seen this kid play? Your thoughts?

HAMPTON, Va. - Julius Randle's size, quick feet and touch have made him a candidate to be the No. 1 player in the high school class of 2013, and the Texas power forward has become a major target of major schools.

"A ton of schools."

Randle, who attends Prestonwood Academy in McKinney, Texas, said he's using this AAU season, which unofficially kicked off this weekend with this Nike EYBL event in Hampton, to improve his overall game.

He and nearly all his teammates on the Texas Titans AAU club are playing up a year to the under-17 classification.

His AAU season could help his cause to be ranked No. 1 in 2013; he's currently the No. 3 player in Rivals.com's initial list for that class.

UK's John Calipari is among the coaches interested in Randle, who visited UK unofficially for the Wildcats' home game against Arkansas in 2009-2010.

Saw him this weekend. The kid is an absolute force when he is on his game. Easily one of the top two or three players in the 2013 class...

When I watched his team play they had a player that had committed to Kansas, so of course I was watching him, but it didn't take long for me to realize how good and a special player that Julius was. Told my husband and son when I got back to remember his name. My son was reading about recuits this morning, as he often does and he said , "Mom here is that kid that you liked so much at the Beachball Classic".

GT keep me posted on how he does this summer and if you see him again.
