Two games. It's not that far off.

I don't feel like playing "what if" affects UK's chances. I do, however, feel like my decision to not DVR any of the games and watch them or listen to them all in a different place has been the difference.

Hate to break it to you, but it is a particular shirt that I wear every game. Yes, I wash it in between games (before someone asks!) but my shirt is what pulls them through.

True story, my 13 year old son and husband were stuck in Nashville yesterday at a baseball tourney. Because of scheduling from the rain, they were added a game that was supposed to begin around 3:30. My son called me in an ABSOLUTE PANIC, convinced that him watching the game would be the difference between the Cats winning and losing. Not joking, he was hysterically upset, almost to the point of unreasonable.

I see you've raised him well.

BTW, I've already got my designated locations for the last two (hopefully) games.

Wouldn't ya have to say this is a fun and an exciting final four however; probably the weakest field in years, if not EVER? It's probably by far the most combined losses ever.

It was a great win over OSU, but the win over a mediocre rebuilding UNC team is not a huge deal folks.

I've got a lucky shirt too! I was walking to the UK-Florida game at Rupp and I decided to stop in Kennedy's and buy a new shirt for the game. We won, so I wore it to the next game against Vandy. We won again, so I wore it again while watching UK-UT. Have worn it every game since, and we still haven't lost!

Wrong. I love when people come in these threads to try and belittle or diminsh things and are completely wrong in their attempt. May want to get your facts straight next time.

People need to chill everyone knows Kemba is a beast and UK still has a ways to go but that's why the tread title says if it happens...Have some confidence in your team i'll it would be the first one I can really remember and with the whole enes situation where nobody gave UK a chance after him being ineligable it would be the sweetest for me...As for the game im not worried about Kemba Liggins is going to take him out of the game for the most part im more worried about Lamb and who's going to stop him...Kemba isn't why Uconn has become so tuff lately its Lamb stepping up and becoming a threat that makes Uconn so tuff

'96 was pretty special....18 years between titles...the first one since I was 5 (too young to remember that one in '78)...I was in college at the time...hard to top that one. '98 was great as I was living in North Carolina and the Duke game still ranks as my favorite non-championship game as I watched Wojo get shredded and Tubby totally outcoached K that day. This one IF it happens will be special in its own right.

If the miracle happens, this would have been the least expected.

I was in High School in '78 but knew after the bitter loss to UNC in '77 that we would win the title. (Youthful enthusiasm and cockiness)

'96 ended a long spell of near misses. (Really believed we would win in '84, '93 and '95 but did not) It will always be special. They were a joy to watch.

'98 was very unexpected to me considering all we had lost to the NBA and graduation in the previous 2 years. I never believed we could win until the Final Four. (I'm always a pessimist)

I still don't have a sense of possibility to win it all but will enjoy it all, win or lose. If we win 2 more games it will be the largest surprise to me of all of them.

As to the "best" title? I don't know if you can say one child is best over the others.

I am so glad to see that there are others that are not superstitious, I think it is crazy to talk about a jynx.

I assumed that perhaps a combined 37 losses (26 in conf) would have to be the worst in years, if not ever. Plus, two mid-majors (assuming VCU is a mid-major) on one side of the bracket. So, if not the worst combined losses in years, then educate me on the facts?

If they did go on to win it all, it would definitely be very impressive with consideration to how competitive things have become overall and with how things started out for them. As far as talent and experience goes, I don't believe that they would be as good as the '96 champions, that will go down as one of the best national championship teams of all time at the college level.

^The question is not whether they're the best team at UK to win a championship, but rather would this be the best championship. Or, to reword it, would this one be the sweetest?
