Elijah Pittman: 30 Days in the Clink

    http://www2.jcfloridan.com/news/2011...me-ar-1554853/

So he was arrested for possession last fall and failed to live up to his requirements so he gets 30 days.

The highlight of the article , and an indication of JC priorities, is when the coach said he didn't have time to discipline the two players.

Telling. Sounds like a great environment for someone who has lacked discipline.

I don't remember it. However it wasn't a matter of IF these two would get in trouble going to the same JUCO. It was simply when. Add in it being Chipola and I am a bit surprised it took this long...

It was nice of the judge to not have the 30 days start until 4.1 .

Wonder if this will make JUCO Bob think twice about Mr. Pittman.

An interesting quote from the article (there were many):

O’Daniel said if the men had actually been convicted on their original charges, there would’ve been a recommendation that “they were no longer with us.”

What do you mean..."if the men had actually been convicted...??"

    What a joke.

To no one's surprise Elijah has been dismissed from the team and is spending 6 months in jail.

For his previous violation he was allowed to leave jail each day to attend class. 4 days after his sentence started he failed a drug test and was booted.

Very disappointed to hear this. Kid has all the talent in the world but simply can't make the right choices. He has been given every opportunity out there to get his life together. No excuse for this garbage.
