Knight's mother has said he's made his decision, but it's not her place to reveal what that is.

If he wants to win a title, he'd better get to work convincing the other three potential defections to stay. Because right now, I can't see anyone getting by UNC.

I think this was definitely a smart decision for Doron Lamb, and personally I am very happy. Lamb was my favorite player from the second he signed with the Cats and I'm looking forward to cheering him on during a very successful sophomore season. Keep dropping those three's baby!

The "wanna win a championship" line is for fans. If he knew he was a top 10-er he'd be gone.

Huge difference and you know it.

Those 3 WOULD be top 10.

Lamb had zero chance of being a high draft pick. So the only out for him would be IF he was a top 10er AND he was concerned about the lockout.

This is like Gov Richardson telling us he no longer wants to be considered as a candidate for POTUS.

So he's telling us fans what we want to hear. I'm not mad at the kid. It's more of a commentary on fans.

So Lamb has no interest in winning a championship? That didn't play the slightest role in the kid returning for a sophomore season? Come on now... If you haven't seen a pattern yet, this year there are actually kids who care about leaving a legacy at their respective institutions. Lamb is a competitor. Is it the only reason he's returning? No, probably not. But it does factor in.

GT listed the legit players who had to really make a tough decision. Lamb wasn't one of them. If he was in their stratosphere and THEN decided to come back and dropped the "I want to win a championship" then I'd give him more credence. He knew leaving for the NBA would be risky , not only because of the lockout issue, by mainly because he had a high chance of not getting drafted in the first round if at all. Easy to make the "I want to win" comment when your options are limited.

I'm glad he's returning. He needs to get better and stronger AND he can help UK.

You said if he "knew he was top 10, he'd be gone". Simply hearsay on your part, right? Did you mean if he knew he would be top 10 he would have had a tough decision to make???

    Fair enough. Let me re-phrase.

It's easy to say the reason you're coming back is to "help win a championship" when it's your only real option. If Liggins comes out tomorrow and says he's coming back to "win" I'll say the same thing about him.

Now if Knight or Jones says it then that's a different story.
