    Unless this is in a rural area, this will never fly. Not because people would not do it, but because of subdivision restrictions and local zoning provisions.

    Depends on the terms.

    If they pay off my mortgage and I have to keep that on there for a specified number of years, then I say yes without even blinking.

    If it is a year by year thing where they are just making the payments for me in exchange for it, then probably not unless I can get a very long term deal and they bear the costs of putting it back like it was if the deal ends.
