Why do people go through a FAST food drivethrough and have NO IDEA what they want? I mean, seriously, I NEVER go through a drivethrough unless I know exactly what I want, and I order it in a concise and efficient manner. Everyone else should do the same. And be polite.

That brings me to another question about people that go through the DT... if you're in the most miserable of moods, why bother being around other people? If you're going to snap like a twig, go relieve some stress a better way than taking it out on complete strangers who are just doing their job.

And from the other side, here's a tip. For those of you who work the drive-thru, try to speak distinctly. I know as employees you are required to say certain things or push certain items but at least speak clearly and I won't ask you to repeat it 3-4 times through the usually crappy intercom. Have some consideration for the consumer.

My boss only hires the most professional of annunciators... except for one lady from Gambia, but she usually sticks to backline. Hard worker, though.

Otherwise, if an employee doesn't have consideration for the customer then they shouldn't have a job there.

And I really do hate those crappy intercoms.

Is it my imagination, or does nearly everyone sound like Charlie Brown's teacher through those intercoms?

Infomercials that advertise products for 19.99 or something like it. What is the consumer thinking?

    $20.00? Thats too expensive....

    $19.99? Where's my credit Card!?

And don't forget the $7.95 to handle and ship that CD, pen-sized fishing rod, etc.

Exactly, which leads me to my next point..once you buy the item, they'll automatically send you a free gift that either you already own or is totally unconnected to your original purchased product.

Oh you bought the Cyclone-9000 carpet cleaner? Here's a complimentary knife set.:creepy:

Psychological Pricing. Section on that in marketing classes.

Consumers associate prices ending in 5's or 9's with deals.
Consumers associate prices ending in 0 with quality.
So, reseach supposedly shows that a consumer can look at the same product and see it different if the price is $19.99 compared to $20.00.

Notice car prices, ever see a Cadillac/Mercedes at $79,999?
Same reason why NIKE forgo selling their shoes at Walmart. Lost a lot of sales but never wanted their gym shoes to be associated with discount stores.

I complained about this and they told me that my older phone had an older chip that the new towers overwhelmed basically. They put a new SIM card in, free of charge, and I have NOT had the dropped calls like I was having.

Years ago, my wife had a blowdryer with a tag on it that said "do not use in the shower." If you need to be warned about this, the "heard" needs to be thinned out a little. Also, Drano warns "not to be taken internally." Again, lets thin the heard.

Well you know that if they didn't put those warnings on there there are people out there stupid enough to do what they warn you not to and then sue those companies.

There are, honest to God, Interstate Highways in Hawaii, explain that.

I always print in all uppercase print, because why do I have to know four ways to make each letter in the English language (upper and lower print, upper and lower cursive). If you asked me to write in cursive, other then my signature, it would take me a long time.
