That was what I thought as well BF, I have always said that judges comments may affect some peoples votes and last night the comments were definately in favor of Lauren. Especially in the final I don't think that they should say who they think won what, round 1.2 or no way should they say who they think will win the A.I. title. I definately think they may have swayed some, not all voters and if it is close which I think that it will be that could make a difference. jmo
So, who is coming in 2nd and 3rd after the best in the competition (Pia).
I voted last night for the first time since Pia left. My votes went for Scotty. Both imo did very good last night.

I'm happy with either one. They both have been my favorites.

Here's my take on it. There have been many instances over the years where I think the judges have helped someone move on, who probably should have been sent home. How? By criticizing them. That's right, exactly the opposite of what you'd expect. What happens (I think) is when the fans of a certain singer hear their boy/girl get blasted by Simon (or any other judge), they feel threatened. So, the fan base becomes energized, and they vote like crazy. On the other hand, if someone comes out and knocks it out of the park, and the judges applaud...their fan base is likely to become complacent, because they feel their guy is definitely safe for next week. Sure they may vote once or twice...but not the five, six, twelve times that they might if they think their guy definitely needs help.

So, in the end, the judges siding with Lauren may not be the best thing for her. On the other hand, it may help Scotty tremedously. Just my take.

Very valid counterpoint CSF. I think the complacency effect is what did in my boy, James. It has happened several times in the past as well, to people who have gone on to have great careers.

If I was 17 I'd invite Ms Clayton as well.

There may be a time when Lady Gaga doesn't annoy me to death.. But I don't see it coming.

I feel bad for the girl. It's not fair to have to sing next to Ms Underwood. Great thrill for her but it certainly shows how far she has to go to be ready for Nashville.

    True, but...

    1) She does have that vocal cord injury to deal with, so she didn't do go out a vocal limb to impress.
    2) Ms. Underwood on the night she won AI couldn't compete with Ms. Underwood now.
