    Man, I don't really know what to say other than this family and the 18yr. girl have my prayers. Very sad and scary situation. This story sounds to me like the girl is brainwashed.

    I have 3 teenage daughters and I can tell you that noway in this world I would have let her got on that plane! Not a chance!:fire: I'd go to jail before I would let her go.

    You would physically hurt her in some way? Would you lock her up in your home or somewhere else? Short of that, I don't know how you stop her.

    You can only teach your kids to do the right thing. Once they're legally adults, you just hope the teaching paid off and they don't make the same or worse mistakes than you did. Evidentially, they still have to learn some of life's lessons the hard way.

    In this case, I think the parents waited too late to get involved with their child's life. If they hadn't, she would have never tried to skip out when she was 16, because she would not have been on myspace without supervision to begin with.
