Folks on the southern end of this are feeling it too. I've got family in Georgia and the Carolinas. Flash floods, power outages and downed trees blocking roads.
@nWo, thank you so much for the heads up. I made some calls soon after your initial postings yesterday. I think you saved some of the Owl clan from some property damage last night after they hunkered down.

    2nd call for snow

Sorry about the delay but I had to finish my honey-do list.

Both the NAM and the GFS in their afternoon runs are in pretty good agreement. The GFS snowfield is a little wider than the NAM but the totals are pretty close. Most of the snow looks to start after 10 pm EST and dwindle down to flurries by Friday afternoon. Both models run end at 1 pm EST.

This is what both of the models are showing for snow accumulations

Now for my second call for snow accumulations for tonight. It appears that the snow accumulations will have to be raised especially from around the I-75 corridor eastward. Most of the snow looks to accumulate east of I-65. Western Kentucky is looking at from a trace to about a half-inch. From I-65 to I-75 1-2 inches. East of I-75 2-4 inches. Those in the higher elevations of eastern Kentucky could see upwards of around 5 inches.

It appears that the morning rush hour looks to be hazardous so everyone should be use caution while on the roads.
