BGP Weather Alert Day for 6/17/19The threat level has risen since this morning. The Storm Prediction Center now has most of Kentucky in a category 2 Slight Risk Area for strong to severe storms later today. This area is surrounded by a category 1 Marginal Risk Area.
A Slight Risk has been added to parts of the Ohio Valley where a somewhat higher confidence/coverage of sustained severe storms may occur. Multicells capable of wind damage and some hail will be most common, especially mid-afternoon through early/mid evening.

Tuesday afternoon updateSevere probabilities have been increased across portions of southern Indiana. Deep convection is increasing ahead of a short-wave trough over southern Illinois and this activity should spread east along/south of wind shift into southern Indiana and Ohio over the next several hours. The Storm Prediction Center has expanded the category 2 Slight Risk area to include southern Indiana and southern Ohio.
