    Summer Backpacking

I'm headed out on two backpacking trips this summer. One is going through the Cumberland Gap in May and will last about 3 days. The other is a week-long journey through Colorado. Is anyone else doing any sort of trips like these this summer? I love backpacking in the mountains and really encourage anyone who hasn't to give it a try.

I used to love to backpack but I have gotten so outta shape and have not had the time I hope to do a few laps on the Seven Arrows Trail this summer to get me back in condition and maybe do some minor backpacking in the fall!

I'll keep an eye out for you.

You'll be hiking in my (extended) back yard.

Do you know what the hike is really going to entail?

If you need any suggestions for cool stuff in the area let me know. I'll be here.

    MDN,

I'm starting near the main entrance to the park at the trailhead for the Pinnacle Trail, then hiking up to the top of the ridge and taking the ridge trail to White Rocks. In total, the trip is about 20 miles long and since it's the summer, I'm guessing it will take about 3 days. I did it in two days both other times, but it was October then.

Don't let a big boulder fall on your arm...
