i don't see anything wrong with it, but i know several people who consider it a sin.

Well I would think that the house would be pretty nasty afterwards. I would think it would spoil the dog as well.

heck ya, why have a dog and keep it outside? Dog is part of family let it live with family. Keep it in a crate to sleep in but keep it inside

    YES YES YES

they used to think that Labs shouldnt be kept indoors, in the mid 70s. Boy were they wrong there. I know a lot of people think pointers shouldnt be kept in doors, they make great house dogs.

I think when you hunt with a dog, the better the bond with the dog, the better he will work for you. I know the best bonding i have with my pups are when we are together watching tv or something

I used to have a beagle that spent most of her time in the house she would get in the car whenever I went any where!
she was more a part of the family than just a hunting dog but she was definatly a hunting dog

I let my chessapeake stay inside until hunting season then its outside so he get use to the harsh conditions that I have spent a small fortune having him trained to work in. For duck dogs this is important. After being in a warm house they have little desire to get into frigid waters

One of the best dogs I had ever seen, it was an english setter, was kept inside. Also if you have ever watched Outdoor life network, there is a show on there call Hunting with Hank, the dog is an inside dog and it is as obedient and well trained as probably any dog you will ever see.

I had a 10 month old Walker Tree Dog a few years back that was watching the discovery channel w/ me when it showed a raccoon on TV. I realized then he would be a good dog, as he went crazy upon seeing it(and trashing half of the house before I could catch him). Never been a dog back in the house since.
