    2018 KHSAA State Bass Fishing Championships - Results

    1. Tristan Barrett and Evan Bremmerkamp - Marshall County

    2. Blake Herold and Cameron Cochran - Madison Southern

    3. Dylan Bell and Jacob Hudgin - Calloway County

    The Big Bass Award (5lbs 3oz) goes to both Cameron Brady of Bourbon County and Cameron Cochran from Madison Southern.

    2 of the top 3 and 5 of the top 8 in the area of Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley area.

    But seriously Congrats to all these kids that are getting to do something that wasn't even a dream when I was in school. I think it is great that the KHSAA sanctions Bass fishing.

    Whether fishing socially or competitively, I'm happy to see youngsters exposed to the sport.

    I've never fished in a tournament and prefer to fish under my own direction.

    I started young, catching bluegill with a cane pole, and eventually evolved into a bass fisherman.

    The sport has provided me endless hours of challenge and entertainment (and frustration) over the years, and taken me to places I'd only dreamed about.

    Congratulations to all of the participants!
