I thought this video was interesting and probably sums up what some of you are feeling:

@Wireman, thanks for sharing. And I believe that Negan's murder of Glenn and the other guy--Abram (?) was really the beginning of the end for me. There are no positive or hopeful moments anymore. It is now 100% gloom and doom with no bright spots.

My wife tuned out after that show. We actually watched the show together religiously while we were dating and at the beginning of our marriage. After the episodes with Negan bashing brains in...I can't even talk her into watching a single episode with me. She says it got too dark and as a result, she lost interest.

I feel the majority of this is just lazy writing. The zombies are slow almost an after thought now. If they could give any hint to how they will move on or contact real help (Like Army, Government help, ect...) it might save itself.

Right now - I think it ends after Whisperes story line.

Its a show about the world ending and dead people eating people. It is supposed to be dark isn't it? I think they should go even darker.

That kind of show isn't for everyone.

This show is on the threshold of flipping back to civilian action or going full blown Mad Max.

That’s a dark concept. I question some of you who saw this as a fun show.

Not gonna lie - Happy to see Simon go. But where has Jesus been this entire season?

Not sure how they will cliffhang us until next season. Perhaps this season finale will follow the comics or take a new path?

My biggest dislike with the show is that it's the same story over and over. Rick leads the group to a safe place...they are happy for a few weeks...then there's a bad guy/group lurking...Rick and crew suffer losses but defeat the bad guy/group...Rick leads the group to a safe place...etc. etc.

You forgot he gets the crap kicked out of him, but he always looks back to normal the next week.

I bet 3-4 years ago, this thread would have blown up immediately after a season finale of TWD aired. Now it's just crickets. I read the episode summary and I'm willing to predict that a lot of fans aren't happy with how it ended and where it's going. For those who watched, what say you?
