I thought it was solid. I fear the latter part, that people are wanting the Sons back.

Agreed. The Sons are gone and I am good with that. I’m interested in seeing how it holds up. I like bikes and I like violence. I think it will be fun.

I enjoyed the first episode, lot's of moving parts early. The Cartel aspect is interesting and there are some quality actors I recognize from other shows.

Opening scene with a Mayan running over a dead crow on a dirt road was an interesting choice for a start, got a kick out of it.

I know what you mean. This isn’t about the Sons, and too much Sons will distract from the main characters. I just want to see who’s left, and for them to play a supporting role, like the Mayans did in the original. I don’t want to see story lines completely driven by the Sons.

I’d like that very much as well.

So far, so good. I can’t see a reason thus far for me not to keep watching. I’m optimistic.

That’s how it should be. I don’t want to want to watch the Sons of Anarchy sequel. I’m good with Alvarez popping in from time to time. I’d love to see who is left and how they are but like you said I don’t want much Sons interference at all. Let this show stand on its own. It’s capable.

I wonder if there is some foreshadowing with Gemma in the jail flashback scene? Or just a funny way to put her in the series.

I enjoyed watching and agree with what most of you said about hoping that it doesn’t become a SOA sequel. If it holds to the Mayans as its main focus I believe that it should do well.

I think it’s gotta mean more than just a cameo. Doesn’t mean we’ll see her again, but I think the Sons do somehow fit into the backstory, and we’ll see occasional snippets of the Sons and the Mayans crossing paths.

The first 45 minutes of the episode was very slow but it picked up quickly as the plot was building. Can't wait for episode 2 tonight! Also, the crow was symbolic throughout SOA, anybody else notice that the dog that was in the scene with the dead crow showed up again later in the episode? There's something to that.

Solid episode #2. I hope the ratings hold, I have concerns for some reason. It’s missing that “Charming” and Unser touch. Quickly jumped into the action and betrayal.

The crooked cop aspect and how the town of Charming perceived the Sons, was always fascinating. So far the Mayans spinoff lacks that depth. They are trying to push it with the Rebels.

I’m still all in. I’m loving the show so far and it is just getting started.
