What say you - Favorite songs, funniest joke, touching moment?

Were there any surprises or disappointments?

Was there anything you saw that made you want to go see a movie?

Eddie Vedder performing Tom Petty’s, “Room at the Top,” during the In Memoriam segment -
June Foray, Harry Dean Stanton, Martin Landau, Glenn Headly, Roger Moore, Sam Shepard …

*sigh* I’m such a softy sometimes.

I watched all 4 hours and some of the pregame (Red Carpet). Different strokes.

We didn't watch the Red Carpet, but every year a group of our friends gets together for an Oscar's party. Always a fun time!

Passed on all of it. I just can't relate to the people, most of the movies or the need to place social commentary after being honored. Just give thanks, say thanks and move along.

I saw where it was the lowest watched Oscars in a long time. First time the numbers have been under 30 million in quite a while. 27 million watched.

Loved that movie! I really liked a bunch of the songs...A Million Dreams, The Other Side, From Now On, This is Me, Rewrite the Stars...probably in that order...just a lot of great songs in that movie IMO...

    Too many award shows.
    No blockbuster movies.
Trend is that ratings for live shows are declining.
People are tired of the political shtick of actors and athletes.
Too many other entertainment options on other platforms.
Too long and not really that entertaining.

I think many (me included) just get sick of an industry that has SO MANY award shows to tell each other how great they are...the political stuff bugs me too...I just don't care what actors and athletes think about politics in general...and I firmly believe all actors and athletes have a right to say what they want regarding politics but I have a right to not care nor listen...

More evidence of an overall change in people's TV viewing habits. Are there any TV shows that are not losing viewers?

Reality shows as a whole seemed to have picked up the Slack?
