Unless they felt like this major swap was coming and many felt it was better to have a unified vote before the swap so players felt comfortable working with each other on whatever new tribes they get stuck on? I doubt that's true, but you never know.

I also totally didnt think about people going to the Extinction Island and being with people that were bitter about you voting them out. Where was I on thinking about that angle?

Not me. I thought Lauren was heading to redemption when she didn't play her ideal.

So what are they going to do with Extinction Island? We are up to 4 people out there.

My wife speculated that they expected them to tap-out more. I figured the would have to have some sort of competition to get back into the game.

Reen seems to have embraced the place and is probably even more happy each time one of her tribe shows up.

I believe it was Season 7: Pearl Islands when they brought back those that were voted out and as a team they competed in a challenge against those still in the game. If the group that was voted out won the challenge, they got to vote two players back into the game.

Curious if they pull something like that out.

That's what my thinking is MJ. That's why I mentioned we are up to 4 people. There are 4 people in Lesu and I believe the other tribes have 5, so by numbers you could have an even competition between those voted out with one or more of the remaining tribes.

It also adds a wrinkle to who you vote out if you know you might have to compete against them later. That might make you send weaker people out of the game. I like that angle because almost everything else about the game points people toward voting out the strong players and being weak being an advantage.

I loved the how you kill a chicken. "Chop the head off, boil it and the feathers will come out." What a surprise when that bird runs around for a while. Talk about Wendy freaking out. They won't show it though.
