Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Episode VII)

Page 2 of IV, V, and VI were all better than I, II, or III. Those last 3 movies were deflating.... 41 comments | 1562 Views | Go to page 1 →

Could loan you Episodes IV-VI — where Solo shot first and Luke still seems whiny.

Man, I remember when the fourth movie came out. I was sooooo excited, and my son was of the age when he basically had to do what I said and believe what I said. So we watched all of the first three and I am sure I wouldn't shut up about them. Then we camped out, sorta, to see that fourth movie. There have been worse movies, of course, but in terms of expectations vs. reality...that one was horrible. Plus, my son realized I am not always correct.

I was behind a lady at Walmart a little while back who was in the process of returning $800.00 of Star Wars merchandise she had bought(was there a day a couple of months ago that was like an opening day for Star Wars merchandise?) for a family member who asked her to buy it but didn't have the money to pay her back. She had 2 cart loads.

Newport Levy Theaters showing the first 6 Star Wars movies followed by the new movie on 12/17 into 12/18. That is about 14 hours of movies.

You know they are going to make a mint on merchandising when Bed Bath and Beyond even has a Star Wars section.

I get so excited when a new Star Wars movie comes out but although I thought most were ok, none really knocked my socks off like the very first one Episode IV

I have a feeling though that this one will be so much better than Episode I II or III which were still better than V and VI

Jar Jar Binks put me into serious depression and hopefully this movie will cure all the short comings of the last 3 films.

I don't think there is a store out there that will not have a Star Wars section. I've seen this before. At retail there will be carryover and folks will think that it underperformed, when in reality the product was very successful but expectations were too high.
What made Frozen such a great success was the fact that no one thought it would do that well at retail. Product took off and the market was short on product. Everyone scrambled to scoop up anything they could. People also thought it would have longevity but sales are already declining. Disney has kept it a seperate property for now. Soon the girls will be just part of the Princess mix.

Huh? Do you really mean to say that Episodes I, II and III were better than "Empire Strikes Back?" Because that's just crazy talk.
