    I know that it was supposed to be cool to dig the Clash, and while I gave it a whirl they just never did much for me. Because it was considered somewhat of a legendary show, I did see Joe Strummer live, and it actually turned out to be my only chance because shortly there after he passed away.

    When it came to early punk, The Sex Pistols were more my speed. Their brand of Brit angst while raw still had elements of style in their groundbreaking way. The early 80's California punk explosion did absolutely nothing for me as it completely lacked any style while it seriously just got on my nerves. I realize that they were going for anti-taste and style, and anti-commercializm, and in that they indeed succeeded.
