This was pretty neat. It makes sense given he was born in Gainesville.

    Running Down A Dream
    American Girl
    Cabin Down Below

On a side note, I watched the four hour documentary on Tom Petty’s life and career on Netflix and he said in their early days the band went to L.A. with some demo tapes they had made. One of the first places they visited was called Playboy Recordings. They got an interview with the head honcho and told him they had demos. Petty said the guy listen to one song for 30 seconds and turned it off with a remark that he had heard all he needed to hear, that it wasn’t what their company was looking for.

My thoughts while watching the documentary was, ‘I wonder whatever happened to that honcho dude and what he thought years later about all the success the group that he turned away ended up achieving.’
At his death Petty was worth 95 million dollars!
