My guess would be He looked Middle Eastern/Mediterranean, but I don't care how He looked. The fact that He's my Lord and Savior is all that matters to me.

This a painting that a little girl painted from dreams she had of meeting Jesus. This is the only picture that Colton Burpo "Heaven is for real", said looked like Jesus. He had been shown numerous pictures and paintings of Jesus but said that all of them were off somehow. When Colton saw this painting he stopped and said that it was right.

Could be. I just know that in the book, he was shown several pictures and paintings but none were accurate until he saw this one. He saw many pictures over a period of time, it wasn't like he was looking at mug shots, just any picture of Jesus that they saw they asked him and he said all were wrong until this one.

This was painted by a young girl, I think she was trying to show light coming from the left side of the painting.

Is that any different from the psychological and sociological tests that ask little girls whether they prefer the black Barbie or the white Barbie? Forgive me, but I'm feeling very skeptical on this one.

Well really? What are we supposed to believe -- that Jesus was the only white man with blond hair and blue eyes in Palestine at the time? C'mon.

^ your reading way too much into my post. I just meant that you are by your own admission a skeptic due to your profession.

I have no idea what Jesus really looked like nor does anyone else. I would assume he would look like a Jewish man indigenous to that area from around 2000 years ago.

It does not matter to me however, Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I don't worry about what he looks like.

While I agree that it doesn't necessarily matter from the spiritual standpoint, the problem is that far too many people over the years have advanced the blond-haired, blue-eyed Jesus as an inarguable fact, to the point they used it to justify racism. That's my beef with the white Jesus crowd.

Frankly, there was only one white Jesus, and that's the white basketball Jesus, otherwise known as the "Hick from French Lick."

It's a really funny question, atleast for me. I know that Jesus probably wasn't a white guy and it's more than likely that he looked Middle Eastern-ish. In my head I still see him as a white guy when I think about him though.
