1. Male (10-0): Reigning Class 6A champion Male wrapped up an undefeated season on Friday, Nov. 1. But it wasn't easy. Male managed to edge rival Manual 22-21 in a regular season finale.

During the regular-season, Male outscored opponents 421-122.

Quarterback Elijah Parish led Male throughout the regular-season, passing for 1,909 yards and 19 touchdowns. Emerging as Male's leading receiver, Izayah Cummings hauled in 47 receptions for 870 yards and nine touchdowns.

Jaylin Bross rushed 129 times for 1,042 yards and 16 touchdowns.

The Bulldogs, under the direction of head coach Chris Wolfe, will host Southern in the opening round of the Class 6A KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl.

 

2. Trinity (8-2): Tradition-rich Trinity beat Bowling Green 49-21 to end the regular-season 8-2. The Shamrocks are on a three-game winning streak after dropping two of three games midway through the current campaign. Trinity has outscored opponents 356-113.

Quarterback Nathan McElroy leads the Shamrocks. McElroy has completed 126 passes for 1,759 yards and 18 touchdowns.

The Shamrocks narrowly lost to Male during the regular-season.

Trinity is set to entertain Marshall County in the first round of the Class 6A KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl.

 

3. North Hardin (10-0): A Class 6A title contender, North Hardin pummeled Pleasure Ridge Park 48-20 to cap off a perfect regular-season.

The Trojans have outscored opponents 359-88 and boast the best defense in Class 6A. Offensively, through the air, quarterback Manie Wimberly has completed 127 passes for 2,051 yards and 20 touchdowns. Josh Moore, who has reeled in 40 receptions for 799 yards and nine touchdowns, leads North Hardin in receiving. On the ground for the Trojans, running back Lavell Wright has rushed 191 times for 1,256 yards and 18 touchdowns.

North Hardin is poised to entertain Barren County in the Class 6A KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl.

 

4. Manual (8-2): Following the heartbreaking loss to Male, Manual packs an 8-2 record into the postseason. Through 10 games, Manual has outscored opponents 319-144.

Quarterback Zach Recktenwald and running back JaWaun Northington are combining to lead the Crimsons offensively. Recktenwald has completed 59 passes for 916 yards and eight touchdowns. Leading Manual on the ground, Northington has rushed 93 times for 758 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Much-improved Manual is slated to host Pleasure Ridge Park as the Class 6A KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl kicks off.

 

5. St. Xavier (6-4): The Tigers slipped back into the loss column during a regular-season finale as rival St. Xavier from Ohio prevailed 35-30.

During the regular-season, the Tigers outscored opponents 281-188 but dropped games to in-state opponents Male, Trinity and Manual, one of which is a district opponent.

Quarterback Douglas Bodhaine led St. Xavier throughout the regular season, completing 108 passes for 1,570 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Louisville-based St. Xavier is prepared to host Butler during the initial round of the Class 6A KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl.

 

6. South Oldham (9-1): After falling to Christian Academy-Louisville in a season opener, South Oldham has reeled off nine straight wins. The Dragons dominated during the final week of the regular-season, rolling past Central Hardin 43-7.

South Oldham has thrived on the ground, rushing 253 times for 2,521 yards and 41 touchdowns. Leading South Oldham on the ground, Keaton Martin has rushed 116 times for 932 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Quarterback Anthony Pierce has produced through the air for South Oldham, completing 45 passes for 963 yards and 13 touchdowns.

South Oldham is due to entertain Atherton in the first round of the Class 5A KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl.

 

7. Fern Creek (7-3): Another much-improved high school football team from Louisville, Fern Creek finished the regular season strong, shutting out Southern 45-0.

Fern Creek has outscored opponents 260-155.

As a team, Fern Creek has rushed 361 times for 2,328 yards and 30 touchdowns. Running backs Terrance Mitchell and Anthony Teague have each rushed for over 800 yards apiece for the Tigers.

Fern Creek is headed into a Class 6A KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl opening round game versus Bullitt East.

 

8. Central Hardin (8-2): After opening the season 8-0, Central Hardin has dropped back-to-back games. However, Central Hardin remains a Top 10 team.

Quarterback Chase Elmore (2,1016 yards, 13 touchdowns), receiver Gavin George (1,068 yards, nine touchdowns) and running back Deonco Wilkerson (811 yards, 10 touchdowns) combine to lead the Bruins.

Central Hardin is set to host Meade County as the Class 6A KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl kicks off.

 

9. DeSales (7-3): The Colts fell to Meade County in a regular season finale. Following the loss, DeSales quickly turned its collective attention to Western Hills. The Colts will host Western Hills in the opening round of the Class 3A KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl.

DeSales outscored opponents 339-185 during the regular season, thanks in part to a stout rushing attack. Running back James Johnson leads the Colts. Johnson has rushed 145 times for 1,107 yards and 12 touchdowns.

 

10. Ballard (5-5): The Bruins built some momentum in the final week of the regular season, beating Henry Clay 20-7 to move back to the .500 mark.

Offensively for Ballard, running back Jayden Farmer leads the way. Farmer has rushed 144 times for 1,541 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Defensively for Ballard, linebacker Justice Thompson has posted 100 tackles, 22 tackles for losses and two sacks.

Ballard is scheduled to host Eastern at Seneca in the opening round of the Class 6A KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl.
