On a personal note as a Beechwood grad, this game is going to give me nightmares like it is 1985 when a Joey Couch led Paintsville team beat us 19 to 14 in the Class 1A semifinals.

I could be wrong but I think that is the last time Paintsville beat us before tonight.

What’s next week matchup between Beechwood and Somerset going to look like now? Hope it’s as good as years past. Hopefully the injured players are able to go and Beechwood is full strength.

Beechwood embarrassed Somerset last year, in a game that was called in the 2nd QTR, because of lightning. I am sure Somerset will be talking about that all week. Not looking good for Beechwood. Hope they can get healthy.
