Frederick Douglass or Scott County?

Fredrick Douglass dropped from number one in Class 5A to number two, despite a 43-0 win over 6A Bryan Station. Scott County moved up from number two to number one after a dominating 72-7 win over newly formed, and soon to be county rival, Great Crossings.

Was Douglass ranked too high to start the season? Was Scott County the "real" number one all along? Does Scott County deserve the move?

Who is the real number one in Class 5A?

I still like Fredrick Douglas at #1 for now. Both teams won games they should have in week 0 but non one really knows how good Great Crossing really is, or whether Scott County intentionally poured it in them to make a statement.

Imo, the Trinity scrimmage hurt FD's perception among most, but everyone needs to remember two things with that. Number one it was just a scrimmage, number two, Trinity is head and shoulders above everyone else in the state it appears.

Are those the only two options for now?

Of course not. This is just a discussion about the two that seem to have an argument for the number one ranking and how the change from Doughlass to Scott County happened.

Feel free to start a thread about any other team that you think should be number one. I would love to see what other teams you are thinking of.
