Voice of Reason
Any hope I had for the new regime at Cincinnati just went out the door.
CincySportsFan
Good grief. Guy was ranked 54th out of 61 OTs, and one of four to give up 10 or more sacks last year. Unbelievable.
halfback20
Wow. He was the worst tackle on a Giants team with Erik Flowers. That says a lot. He has a good agent.
ggclfan
I wonder how much of the contract is guaranteed and how much of a signing bonus is involved. It looks like a really bad signing to me though.

16thBBall Fan
Hey at least the Bengals made ESPN with this deal. They called this deal the biggest head scratching deal so far in the NFL. It is amazing how no matter the changes that things remain the same. lol

ChickenWyngz
5.5 million guranteed. I can actually deal with that. If he plays worth the contract you keep him and if not he essentially makes 5.5 million for this season while we polish a drafted tackle.

GrantNKY
I can stomach the deal now that I know only 5.5 is guaranteed so the Bengals can essentially get out of it at any time. But Hart is one of the worst if not the worst RT in the league.
Voice of Reason
I agree, the contract is not as egregious as initially feared. Here are the details: Bobby Hart Contract Details, Salary Cap Breakdowns, Salaries, Bonuses | Spotrac 3 years, $16,150,000. If he makes the roster and sticks this year, he gets $7,400,000 including all the bonuses. Year two, if still here, he gets $3,850,000. I am sure Clint Boling feels better today after hearing the details. If that deal were as originally reported, Boling would be on his way to a new deal or a holdout.
