Final Herro had a good look for the win. Hard to win on the road in the SEC when you don’t bring your A game on defense and get beat bad on the boards.

Herro could have been the hero. Just a little too strong.

Alabama out fought them for about 10 minutes then held on for the win. The skies not falling but this team can't let another team out work them for that long of a stretch.

Poor defensive effort.

Very much what I was afraid would happen in their first conference road game. I'm surprised that I was the only one to pick Alabama in the prediction thread.

As in most games, this one was won / lost on the boards and defensive intensity. Bama kept U.K. from their usual big offensive rebounding advantage and that was a huge difference in the game. U.K. had a big rebounding edge and Bama made turned that and ended up out rebounding the Cats by 8. That should never happen with this team. Rebounding and defense doesn't require more talent, it requires having more guts, desire for the ball than the other guy.

These guys just learned a lesson the hard way about playing on the road, in conference. U.K. is everyone's national championship game and they have to bring the intensity. Down the stretch, I thought the Cats did a good job defensively when getting back into a position to win. Herro had a decent shot but I personally would've loved to see Johnson with the ball in his hands for that last shot. Johnson imo is the go to guy for this team.

0-1 in the SEC. On to the next team's national title game.

I’ve said it before. Everyone’s national championship game is a weak excuse. My guess is that Alabama would like to beat Auburn just as bad as Kentucky.
