swamprat Posted December 16, 2018 Share Posted December 16, 2018 In Nashville. Fredrick Gaudreau scored on a rebound of a deflected shot by Miikka Salomaki in the first period. Roman Jose appeared to have scored a power play goal in the second period, but it was ruled a no goal after New Jersey challenged and Colton Sissons was declared to have interfered with Devils goaling Keith Kincaid. In the third period, New Jersey's Brian Boyle scored a rebound goal of his own off a shot by Jesper Bratt to send the game into overtime. After no score in the overtime, Kyle Palmieri scored for New Jersey and Ryan Ellis scored for the Preds in the mandatory 3 rounds of the shootout, sending the shootout into sudden death. In the 6th round of the shootout, Ryan Johansen slowly approached the goal, then juked out Kincaid for score. In the Devils half of the round, Juuse Soros blocked a shot by John Quenneville to seal the win. The win leaves Nashville with a 1 point lead over Winnipeg, in the Central Division.
