swamprat
Nationwide Arena in Columbus. Markus Nutivaara blasted a one timer past Anaheim goalie, John Gibson, on a puck sent to him from a face off with 7:54 left in the first period. Daniel Sprong scored for Anaheim with 4:04 left in the period to tie the game at 1. Gibson and Sergei Bobrovsky made miraculous saves the rest of the way through regulation, especially Gibson who was getting peppered by the Jackets in the 3rd. Columbus out shot the Ducks 37-22 for the game. In overtime, Sprong fired a shot with Bobrovsky's sight blocked by his own guy, Pierre Dubois, which became the game winner with 3:41 left. I'm not sure what Dubois was doing, because he had his back to the puck and was making little effort to get Adam Henrique out of the goal mouth. With Washington beating Buffalo, Columbus falls another point behind 1st place in the division. With Pittsburgh beating LA, the Pens are now only one point behind the Jackets for second place.
