Paducah Tilghman/Mayfield Updates

Mayfield opens their season tonight against Tilghman in what should be a good measuring stick for the Tornado to see where they are early in the year.

Tilghman leads early 5-3. 5:30 1st qtr.

Tilghman will play small ball the rest of the half as Strayhorn picked up 2 very early fouls.

Mayfield leads 6-5. 3:50 1st qtr.

Mayfield leads 13-12 after one. Very entertaining first quarter.

18-17 Mayfield. 4:24 2nd.

25-23 Tilghman. 1:18 2nd.

Halftime. Mayfield leads 26-25. Mayfield doesn't seem to be showing any rust due to the extended football season. Their football guys are playing well.

Should be a good 2nd half. I thought Mayfield would have taken more advantage of really our only big not playing most of the 1st half.
