TheDeuce
Let’s keep track of all the movement over the next few weeks... - Louisville is open, fired Bobby Petrino - WKU is open, fired Mike Sanford - Texas Tech open, fired Kliff Kingsbury - UNC open, fired Larry Fedora USC announces they will be retaining Clay Helton. DanvilleFan
Glad to see Sanford fired. That team was in a significant negative regression post-Brohm. I'm interested to see who they go after.
neilman1234
USC is making a mistake by keeping Helton. That’s going to set back the program 3-5 more years. USC just told Texas to hold its beer.

I agree with this. I’m really surprised that Helton kept his job.
barrel
Never going to happen but I’d love to see Kingsbury at Louisville.

futurecoach
I'm absolutely baffled at this decision. Not making a bowl at USC is inexcusable. Just two years ago Brian Kelly and Notre Dame only won 4 games and missed a bowl. 2 years later they are now playing in the playoffs.

I agree, Helton has just been HC since 2016...you can't build Rome or Troy in a day.

2-3-Zone
Word has it, Mack Brown is coming back to the college ranks. UNC has hired Brown to be the HC, he was their HC back in the 90s.
2-3-Zone
Never going to happen but I’d love to see Kingsbury at Louisville. I thought it would be cool to see Kliff at WKU. During his tenure at TTU was more losing than winning but I think he would win in C-USA, could bring excitement back to the program and definitely light up the score board. 2-3-Zone
Head scratcher hire for WKU. Most Vol fans were calling for his head this season in Knoxville.
DragonFire
I get that he has a history at WKU during a good time for them, but it is a very questionable hire for me. Tennessee seemed on the verge of firing him. I'm guessing they'd been back channeling this for a bit to have this done so fast, but I think they should have opened it up a bit more. They really aren't in a position to make a major mistake a second straight time.
jvdfc
I was surprised Illinois extended Lovie Smith. I thought he may get axed.
